Whiskey Rich
03:58
|
|||
Strung out on caffeine and whiskey
Watching the traffic just miss me
I'm not under a bridge, yet I struggle to live
As I've grown fond of young girls feeling frisky
Well it's not the way I imagined it'd be
I'd spend my days wondering streets
But it's true what they say, 'cause you get what you pay
I spend a fortune on strippers and Jim beam
(Walk with me)
Maybe the problem is me
It's probably true 'cause it seems
When the bottles gone, when I get clean
I'm all alone and it's me that's empty
And so what if I think too much
It's OK cause I drink enough
And so what if lose everything in this world
that I want that I love so much
I walk a lonely, lonely, lonely road
I walk a lonely road, and I'm all alone
I walk a lonely, lonely, lonely road
I walk a lonely road, and I'm walking away from you
It's a either a bottle or clean shirt
I don't know which should come first
Cause one comes with fun, and with the other one comes
With prospect of finding some work
The bourbon doesn't judge me or stare
It gets me through my day without care
And If tonight is my last
I'd go out in a flash
With a flask in my hand,
Yeah I'm having a blast
Doing just fine when you found
So leave me alone, all alone if you doubt me
Well I don't care what you think about me
I'm a mess and I'm proud, Say it Loudly!
Maybe the problem is me
Let's just wait to see
'Cause if we agree to disagree
You'll see the problem ain't always me
(And it's got me thinking that)
Maybe the problem is me
It's probably true 'cause it seems
When the bottles gone, when I get clean
I'm all alone and it's me that's empty
And so what if I think too much
It's OK cause I drink enough
And so what if lose everything in this world
that I want that I love so much
Maybe the problem is me
Let's just wait to see
'Cause if we agree to disagree
You'll see the problem ain't always me

American Dream
02:46
|
|||
(I know not what course others may take
But as for me, Give me Liberty or give me Death)
We are the Dreamers, we are the American people
We are the Sisters the Brothers, the Fathers the Mothers
We are the American Dream
It was over before it begun
The battle was done, they won
The minute they finish
Jump back in the saddle and run
Into the grip of the young
Creeping in silent they come
A clip in the mind of a different kind of dangerous gun
To revolt is the will of all men
Understand it's the law of the land
In the palm of my hand
I hold the promise the plan
The key to demand
Is sacrificing the damned
For the survival of sam
Is it fair that were made to suffer
Is it true that we all must bleed
A generation is gone assunder
Swallowed whole as a nation screams
You and I are of the same uprising
A coalition of visionaries
You and I depend on fact nor fiction
But in the grasp of reality
You and I are of the same uprising
A coalition of visionaries
You and I depend on fact nor fiction
We're the victims of hypocrisy
You see they feed you the scraps
Just a little bit
Just enough to let you know
That they've got you under their control
All you gotta do is fight back
It's our revolution now
It's our America, follow Me
If we change the system through mischief
Don't be resistant remain consistent
Persistence can make a difference insist that they listen
Don't let them dismiss us as if were just infants and children
Imperialism can't keep us imprisoned behind their intentions
To rebel is the call of the wild
Every man women child
We stand strong, undivided and smile
We are the keepers of truth an undeniable troop
They may diminish our numbers but underestimate youth
Is it fact that were made to cower
Is it so that we all must be
A hollowed faction without power
Buried beneath as our courage flees
You and I are of the same uprising
A coalition of visionaries
You and I depend on fact nor fiction
We're the victims of Democracy
Written in our very own constitution
When government becomes destructive
It is the right of the people
To alter or abolish it
You and I

Diary of the Dead
03:15
|
|||
Nevermind the scars, it's gone too far,
Just show me where it hurts,
Just beneath the surface rest where evil left it's filthy curse
You try to hold it in but then
Suppression only makes it worse
The damage left behind in time
It breaks the spirit first
In a drop of rain, I see the pain the secret to your worth
Traces of your tears still stain the face, now they convey the thirst
A Need to find some peace, its what we seek, it's why we walk the earth
It's so unfair, to leave you here
No comfort in the dirt
In a grain of sand, are the reasons we see fit
Feel the ground beneath your feet, the Dirt clenched inside your fist
There's rest for weary souls
If one should only ask
Peel away the layers on top and open up the past
After what I felt
You may need my help
We share the same blood shed
So reveal to me
with no more privacy
From the diary of the dead
I see the bruises left behind there known to make you lose your grip
Hold on to your consciousness it's all that keeps your off the cliff
It's true the struggle wears you down and death seems like it's heaven sent
But once it overcomes your senses life becomes irrelevant
In a grain of sand we see the answers that all seem to fit
We feel the ground beneath our feet and clench the dirt tight in our fist
No matter how you cry the time won't slow the chill upon the lips
A troubled birth a broken life a journey you eclipse
In a drop of rain
Are the reasons why you search
Trace the tears along your skin
Watch em fall slowly back to earth
There's rest for weary souls
If one should only ask
Peel away the layers on top and open up the past
After what I felt
You may need my help
We share the same blood shed
So reveal to me
with no more privacy
From the diary of the dead
From the diary
I read of you
drank the wine
now I bleed of you
Call it irony
cause what I need from you
is for you now
just to see it through
And from the diary
I leave to you
in detail what I breath and do
In my entirety what I said to
Might as well be dead with you
There's rest for weary souls
If one should only ask
Peel away the layers on top and open up the past
After what I felt
You may need my help
We share the same blood shed
So reveal to me
with no more privacy
From the diary
From the diary
From the diary
From the diary
From the Diary of the Dead

Your face shows me the stress
I knew was always there
Attempts to Hide the Pain
Their so sincere
Buried deep inside your soul
Is that person that you fear
He's a bitter and broken man,
That, can't believe
I can't believe no,
I can't believe
Is this where I'm supposed to be
My imagination seems
To be what's left of me
(So I Ask) What's Left of Me?
Another Damn Disease
From the treetops to the roots
A beginning and end
These leaves they dry up and die
(These leaves they dry up and die
Another damn disease
Turned into homicide)
Your demons follow you
It's clear you can't fight them all
They're a force unstoppable
You can't succeed on your own
I can't believe no,
I can't believe
Is this where I'm supposed to be
My imagination seems
To be what's left of me
(So I Ask) What's Left of Me?
Another Damn Disease
Wake up, wake up, wake up (Yawn)
And feel brand new
The only thing that you
Can control is you
Start to make the change
With your attitude
The rest will fall in place
Like you want it to
It's not the measure of a man
It's his aptitude
Respect for all the people
That surrounding you
Through all the BS
That's confounded you
The only way it matters
If you allow it to, c'mon
I can't believe no,
I can't believe
Is this where I'm supposed to be
My imagination seems
To be what's left of me
(So I Ask) What's Left of Me?
Another Damn Disease, Another Damn Disease
(Another damn disease)
I can't believe no,
I can't believe
I can't believe, yeaaaahh-yeaaah
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
Another Damn Disease
What's left of me?

Make it Whole
03:13
|
|||
You create a hole inside of me
You show me how empty I can be
When I let what everybody else thinks of me
Matter more than my journey
If I take a look back at my life
Will I be as proud of what I find
What's the legacy, I believe, I leave behind
Will it fill this hole I have inside
Gotta break the cycle
Take control
Make a difference
And break the mold
Slave for today
To pay the toll
Find the answers
To Make it whole
Would you save my soul
Would you save my soul
Will you let me go
Do you see the secrets I try to hide
You see them clearly in my eyes
When I lie through my teeth behind a smile
It reveals the fear, the pain, denial
Do you ever look down deep inside
Afraid of what it is you'll find
When you let this world make up your mind
That's when the child you hide inside begins to cry
Together We make a change
We fight we pray
We're invincible
And I survive on you
You make me whole
No longer cold
In the dark of night
I can see by the light of you
This life belongs
To the young the strong
Let's not waste another soul
You Make it Whole
Gotta break the cycle
Take control
Make a difference
And break the mold
Slave for today
To pay the toll
Find the answers
To Make it whole
(Repeat 2x)

Betrayed
02:09
|
|||
..a time comes when silence is betrayal
I don't want ever, I'll never forget this
The feeling that I'm feeling, feel like its helpless
How did it get to be, so bad and digress
To the point where satisfaction was out of the question
Maybe it's because of the way that I trust, hunh
Or maybe on account of unfair expectations
Whatever the reason is, it's got me messed up
I'll never put my self, back in this position
(Chorus):
I'm driven by the fear
Motivated by hate
I'm under a lot of pressure
I'm in a distressed state
Your actions can't be trusted
Your stories aren't even true
My heart is breaking for you
What you've been through
I don't want ever, I'll never forget this
The sights that I'm seeing, looks like it's endless
When did it get to be, so bad and unjust
To try and tear apart the only family that i trust
Excuses aren't a system, if you refuse to listen
Accusations won't fix it, they conflict the situation
Deception is a lie with surgeon like precision
Who the one who got your eye and made you unforgiving
I'm driven by the fear
Motivated by hate
I'm under a lot of pressure
I'm in a distressed state
Your actions can't be trusted
Your stories aren't even true
My heart is breaking for you
What you've been through
Excuses aren't a system, if you refuse to listen
Accusations won't fix it, they conflict the situation
Betrayal is a mask best worn under my supervision
Who the one who got your eye and made you unforgiven
I'm driven by the fear
Motivated by hate
I'm under a lot of pressure
I'm in a distressed state
Your actions can't be trusted
Your stories aren't even true
My heart is breaking for you
What you've been through

We Collide
03:26
|
|||
Breath in all the smoke
Hold it til' you choke
We all get higher
and reinvent the code
Get up get out believe
We are alive
We won't give up, give out, concede
We collide
With our fist out, chin up, eyes wide
We've arrived, it's our time
(Repeat)
Keep your true friends close
Prove who needs it most
Remember where we started from
Don't give up the ghost
Get up get out believe
We are alive
We won't give up, give out, concede
We collide
With our fist out, chin up, eyes wide
We've arrived, it's our time
(Repeat)
End it without words
Leave 'em wanting more
Prove we have the strength
We will stay the course
Get up get out believe
We are alive
We won't give up, give out, concede
We collide
With our fist out, chin up, eyes wide
We've arrived, it's our time
(Repeat)

Better For You
04:58
|
|||
How do I tell you it's over?
How do I just take my love away, from you?
How can I break your heart in to pieces
How can I throw this all away,
When I loved you all along
(Throw it away)
Cause I loved you once and
(Throw it away)
I can do it again if you let me, if you let me just throw it away
How do I tell you it's over
I do I pretend I don't want to stay
How do I convince you to leave me
How do I convince myself to stay
(Throw it away)
Cause I loved you once and
(Throw it away)
I can do it again if you let me, if you let me just throw it away
I think I've jumped the gun again
I've gone and said things I don't mean
I'm not afraid to be alone
But I'm afraid that's a price I'll have to pay
For leaving you when I shouldn't
For calling it quits way to early
And now I regret it cause I know you
And you, you'll be fine without me
(Throw it away)
Cause I loved you once and
(Throw it away)
I can do it again if you let me, if you let me
I can love you
All over again
It's better for you
How do I tell you it's not, over
It's not over yet

They'll tell you to take these pills
it helps to ease the pain
They want our minds frozen
You see the profits they gain
If they can make you feel empty
And drown your creative mind
It's easier to fit you
On the assembly line
They'll tell you to take these pills
it helps to ease the pain
They want our minds frozen
You see the profits they gain
If they can make you feel empty
And drown your creative mind
It's easier to fit you
On the assembly line
We don't need understanding
We don't need sympathy
We're strong enough without it
This is our victory
Through troubled times we triumph
From out of ashes came
A new found sense of purpose
Let's place a flame
They'll tell you to go to class
It will teach you wonderful things
Like how to read and do math
But it's not what it seems
Brainwashing children sadly
Make us believe their lies
Use them before they abuse you
And get out with your life
We don't need understanding
We don't need sympathy
We're strong enough without it
This is our victory
Through troubled times we triumph
From out of ashes came
A new found sense of purpose
Let's place a flame
Let's set this bitch on fire
Let's watch this mother burn
Let's set this bitch on fire
Let's show them what we've learned
Let's set this bitch on fire
Burn this bitch to the ground
Let's set this bitch on fire
Let's light it up

One Man
02:45
|
|||
I am only One Man
I can only do so much
And what you're asking of me
May beyond my touch
Mother, Father,
What do you ask of your son?
Where is your grandchild?
Will I ever give you one?
Why don't I visit more,
Is it something that you've done?
Well I hope you know
There's nothing you can do
I'm always on the run, i know
What you needed
I gave and gave to you without question
But I'm nearly depleted
I need a new direction, and for you
I will walk through fire
I would kill for them
burn the heavens to the ground
but I'm only one man
Yes I will walk through fire (I will walk through fire)
I would kill for them (Kill for them, Kill for them)
burn the heavens to the ground
but I'm only one man
I've been pulled in so many directions
It's all too much to bare
Tried everything I could
But you don't seem to care
You cry on my shoulder
What you're asking isn't fair
And I feel so ashamed
Well I know I'm never there
...and the things you ask for me to do
...But I'm only one man

Ladies and Gentlemen, ha-ha
(Who the hell cares it's my life to live)
Pass of Aggresion would like to introduce to you...
(Raise a cup up, raise it up high, yeah!)
KCCO Baby!, uh
(I'm about to tear the roof off)
Sometimes it's OK to be bad girl, uh, to have more pleasure.
If I get too drunk tonight
don't get mad at me
I'm still more sober
than I ought to be (woo)
And honestly
When you talk to me
I can't help feeling like
You're hot for me ({whistle} what up girl)
Well if you want to leave
Baby we can leave
But don't tell you boyfriend
Cause he is mean (#madbro?)
It might just be me but I swear it seems
Like he don't care an awful lot for me (Hulk Smash)
We can play it cool
Tell him were just friends
And if he really loved you
then he'd understand
Then we can be alone
And become better friends
Oops I think your shirt just
slipped up over your head (motorboat {motoboating})
Sometimes it's OK to be bad
(Who the hell cares it's my life to live)
Keep calm and Chive on, oh yeah!
(Raise a cup up, raise it up high, yeah!)
This is our year so get back
(I'm about to tear the roof off)
And tonight is our night, oh yeah
It's OK baby, to have more pleasure
Want some tonight
You should come back stage
We can talk about your feelings
Play that game, (yeah)
When I see that naughty look
Across your face
I think it's time we leave and
Meet back up at your place ({car screech} vroom)
Now you ain't DTF?
But your down to play
And if you ask me
baby that's ok, (uh-huh)
usually your friend
does this type of thing
'Cause you say ya never done this
Before today (It's my first time)
You got sexy lips you
Don't got to behave
Such a pretty smile and
the grip of a saint (uh...)
Girl what you are doing (uh...)
With your tongue I'm amazed (uh...)
Oops I think I got you
in your eye. what a shame (UHHHH.... oh-ha-ha-oh-shit!)
Yeah what we got here is a good old fashioned sing along
Ya'll ready?
KCCO Song, Keep Calm & Chive On Mother----uh
(Here we go)
She wanna show me kindness
With them random acts
Chivette bound to have future problems with her back
If you come a little closer
I can mind the gap
That's Bill Murray on the shirt
Ain't no problems with that (Zombieland)
Let me here you say it
Keep calm and Chive on
She like how I rock
with my suit and tie on (Let me show you a few things)
Meetup unofficial
Girl get your grind on
One more time for the girls
Keep Calm & Chive on
Sometimes it's OK to be bad
(Who the hell cares it's my life to live)
Keep calm and Chive on, oh yeah!
(Raise a cup up, raise it up high, yeah!)
This is our year so get back
(I'm about to tear the roof off)
And tonight is our night, oh yeah
Sometimes it's OK to be bad
(Who the hell cares it's my life to live)
Keep calm and Chive on, oh yeah!
(Raise a cup up, raise it up high, yeah!)
This is our year so get back
(I'm about to tear the roof off)
And tonight is our night, oh yeah

Born in 48 to a true to life travesty
His father was abusive,
used to beat his ass constantly
He took it as long as he could stand it
as the youngest of 3
When he became a man he left
trying to find him some peace
Instead he put the country on his back
became a marine
Enlisted the tet offensive
witnessed death and disease
To find peace became his passion
but true loves what he seeks
Found his soul mate with the first kiss,
now a family he dreams
He's married in 71'
but tragedy creeps
lost his mother to bone cancer
getting harder to breath
It's a lot to comprehend
and it keeps getting bigger
two months later his father
takes his own life with a trigger
You were always, always, always,
Always, always, always at war
Now you finally found peace
(Repeat)
Life comes at you fast and passes you by
The world is unfair and justice is blind
Each day brings a battle fight grit your teeth
You were always at war, you finally found peace
With both his parents gone
he began to feel all alone
started to lose sight of his life
and making a home
No amount of drinking or drugs
could numb the pain
the only thing left of his family
was his wife and a name
To forget about the past
they decided to move west
His wife gave birth
He was made whole at last
As he welcomed his son
into this world he made him a promise
He would never be like his father
Or raise him with malice
He would love he and his mother
Unconditional and
He would teach his son about life
And be a true friend
And at his last breathe
He's unafraid of the end
He succeeded by keeping his word to his wife and their kid
He's was always at war finally found peace
With peace he left his family with only their grief
Never to see his smile or hear his voice again
Never to smoke a joint or drink a beer with their best friend
But all was not lost with this tragedy happening
Friends and family grew close and smiles came back again
talking about his stories and the good times they had
His son started to learn so much more about his dad
He was a man full of strength, honor and courage
He fought his battles head on
Wouldn't let nothing deter him
He taught us all something in his own special way
So for John C Nelson we all say fu**ing A
